Abstract:
The role of central bank in banking payments should be studied in three different areas. Central bank acts as one of the payment sides of large amount and government payments system from one side¡ and from another side¡ it acts as leader and supervisor of payment system. The third area of activities of central bank is its prominent role in international macro payments which is not transferable to other banks because of its connection with public interests. This paper will study and analyze these three roles. JEL Classification: E42, E58, E59
