Abstract:
In his Report on the Work of the Government to the Third Session of the Sixth National People's Congress, Premier Zhao Ziyang pointed out that the policy of seeking truth from facts and making stable progress must be continued, and that blindly chasing after growth rate and competing over who can go faster must be avoided. This is an extremely important issue. As there exist different views on whether the present speed of industrial growth is appropriate, we deem it necessary to discuss the issue, so as to arrive at a uniform understanding.
