Abstract:
>i>1. Increment in basic wages.>/i> According to a survey on "basic monthly wage income," the average worker's basic wage was 53.17 yuan per month in 1979; by 1985 that had increased to 69.42 yuan, representing an average annual increase of 2.62 yuan, or 4.37 percent. In general, every three years there has been an increase by one level.
