Analysis of the Income Situation of the Chinese Peasantry Since Reform and Openness

Lei Xiancheng

Chinese Economy, 1996, vol. 29, issue 6, 62-67

Abstract: The income of the peasantry is a comprehensive measurement criterion of rural reform and development. In-depth analysis of the current state of peasant income since the advent of reform and openness has an important bearing on a correct understanding of the guiding principles, policies, and measures of the Ninth Five-Year plan and of rural reform up to the year 2010.
