The Chinese Monetary System

Abstract: For approximately the last five years, that is, since the end of the Cultural Revolution, the People's Republic of China has slowly been opening up. The number of visitors coming from Europe has steadily increased, and the nature of their visits has diversified. The diplomatic, parliamentary, and commercial missions have been succeeded by scientific and medical delegations and political, economic, or administrative study groups. The Chinese tourist agency is trying to vary the types of meetings it organizes for all these visitors. The travelers are no longer only received in factories, secondary schools, universities or communes, but also in schools for executives, local administrative offices, and economic organizations.
