Abstract:
This book reports findings of a research project conducted by ten social scientists over a three-year period, on a grant given by the Ministry of Education to the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University, for a large project entitled "Cultural Friction in Asia." A questionnaire was prepared by the research team on "tensions and frictions involved in the overseas advance of Japanese firms to Southeast Asia."
