Japanese Economy, 1984, vol. 13, issue 1-2, 3-44
Abstract:
In this chapter we will describe the status of multinational management in 102 manufacturing corporations, the principles derived from it, and the transferability of the Japanese style of management. The author visited more than twenty Japanese subsidiaries in the USA, the Philippines, Malaysia and the UK, and conducted interviews with Japanese managers and local managers. This chapter is based on these interviews, and on the analysis of statistical data.
