Abstract:
In our projection exercise of the employment structure, the size of the apparent income elasticities of demand, especially ν3, is of critical importance. Will population aging shift sectoral demands more to services? If so, ν3 ought to be as high as the value assumed for case (3) of Table 1 in the "Quo Vadis?" section.
