Abstract:
As of 1981, when our alumnae were about forty years old, only two of the six held full-time jobs. Within the next decade, three went back to work or started to work either full-time or part-time. The remaining alumna continued to help her husband more extensively as the scope of his work expanded over the years. The purpose of this chapter, therefore, is to provide a picture of the lives of our six alumnae, focusing on their work lives from their early forties up to their early fifties. We will present their experiences in the order in which they started or resumed their work lives.
