Whither Trade Policy with Japan?
Edward Lincoln
Japanese Economy, 2002, vol. 30, issue 2, 29-41
Abstract:

With the Japanese economy reeling from recession and the financial sector wallowing in a mountain of bad debt, the issue of access for foreign firms has diminished in relative importance. Nonetheless, the issue remains—and Japanese government resistance to dismantling those barriers continues.
