Abstract: A comprehensive cross-border empirical investigation has been carried out in the framework of an intercultural European Union Project (The Czech Republic/Austria) in the border regions of South Bohemia and NorthernAustria. The aimwas to gain knowledge in terms of the statusquo of creativity and innovation, as well as the situation and requirements in terms of working and living in the region. Thereby, emphasis is placed on the needs and requirements of young people (talents) in order to see who would be willing and able to stay in the region and promote creativity, and social/regional innovation and transformation.
