Abstract:
The paper is a review work, which presents the problem of a renewable energy in Poland supplemented with a case study. To reduce gas emission and to improve energy efficiency the European Union’s Member States are obliged to obtain more energy from renewable sources. Our goal is to test how cluster may help in achieving the provisions of 3 x 20% package. The case study of Baltic Eco-Energy Cluster is presented as a successful example of the biggest energy cluster in the country, which can be treated as a benchmark for other sector clusters that are willing to contribute positively to changes in Polish energy sector.
