Abstract: Through the work of a consultant to entrepreneurs, I was closely involved in the implementation of the Pokolpje program for several years, and thus received responses and experience from grant beneficiaries. On the other hand, I was regularly present at the coordination meetings of the Regional Development Partnership, which was the liaison between the municipalities, development agencies and MGRT, as the holder of the tender. All these experiences and impressions prompted me to research the actual success of the Pokolpje program, and I was even more interested in the opinion of companies as users and thus recipients of grants. The purpose of the research was to check the success of the Pokolpje program, which was adopted in order to promote the development of competitiveness and reduce unemployment in the municipalities within the area. By analyzing the data obtained from the survey, it was proved that the program was useful for the economy in the municipality of Koèevje, but this effect could be much greater with a little more attention to local conditions and fewer bureaucratic obstacles for applicants.
