Abstract: Life Long Learning (LLL) has a very important role in the 21st Century in everyday life. LLL is becoming more meaningful and important, and consequently the higher education sector is progressively increasing its provision of lifelong learning worldwide. This study analyses the main factors which are closely connected with accelerating time (with the learning process) and gives a global picture of the role of higher education institutions in LLL.
