Suriyeli Mültecilerin Malatya İlindeki Coğrafi Dağılışı ile Sosyo-Ekonomik, Mekânsal ve Kültürel Etkileri

Abstract: 2010 yılında Kuzey Afrika’da başlayıp daha sonra ise Orta Doğu’ya yayılan ve 2011 yılı Mart ayında da Suriye’de şiddetli bir iç savaşa dönüşen ve Arap Baharı olarak bilinen halk ayaklanmaları ve protestolar sonucunda özellikle Suriye’de milyonlarca insan ölmüş ve milyonlarcası da başka ülkelere göç etmiştir. Suriyeli mültecilerin göç ettiği komşu ülkelerden bir tanesi de Türkiye’dir. Türkiye’nin hemen her bölgesinde yaşamlarını sürdüren Suriyeli mültecilerin yerleştirildiği illerden biri de Malatya’dır. Bu çalışmada Suriyeli mültecilerin Malatya ilindeki coğrafi dağılışları ile sosyo-ekonomik, kültürel ve mekânsal etkileri araştırılmıştır. Yapılan bu araştırmada Malatyalı yerel halk ile Suriyeli mültecilerin birbirlerine karşı bakış açısı araştırılmış ve araştırma da bu konu üzerine yoğunlaştırılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmanın kapsama alanı Malatya ilinin Yeşilyurt ve Battalgazi ilçelerinde mültecilerin yoğun olarak yaşadığı mahallelerdir. Bu araştırmanın sonucunda Suriyeli mültecilerin Malatya ilinde istihdamın azalmasına, ev kiralarının artmasına, işçi ücretlerinin düşmesine neden oldukları ve ayrıca şehrin sosyo-ekonomik, kültürel ve mekânsal özelliklerinde bazı değişimlerin yaşanmasına sebep oldukları saptanmıştır. ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Geographical Distribution and Socio-Economic, Cultural and Spatial Effects of Syrian Refugees in Malatya Province As a result of the popular uprisings and protests that started in North Africa in 2010 and then spread to the Middle East and turned into a violent civil war in Syria in March 2011 and known as the Arab Spring, millions of people died, especially in Syria, and millions of others. immigrated to countries. One of the neighbouring countries that migration of Syrian refugees Turkey. One of the provinces where almost every region in Turkey's continued placement of the Syrian refugees are living in Malatya. In this study, the geographical distribution of Syrian refugees in Malatya province and their socio-economic, cultural and spatial effects were investigated. In this research, the perspectives of the local people of Malatya and Syrian refugees towards each other were researched and the research was focused on this issue. The scope of the study is the neighbourhoods in which the refugees mostly live in the Yesilyurt and Battalgazi municipalities of Malatya province. As a result of this research, it was determined that Syrian refugees caused a decrease in employment, an increase in house rents, a decrease in workers' wages in Malatya province and also caused some changes in the socio-economic, cultural and spatial characteristics of the city.
