Abstract:
The aim of this study is to reveal different findings by supporting the relationship between migration and loneliness with a theoretical dimension and phenomenology pattern. In the study, the semi-structured “Loneliness Interview Form for Immigrants” developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool. The data related to the study were collected by conducting face-to-face communication with a total of 24 Syrian citizens, 13 female and 11 male, randomly selected by the researcher in the Şehitkâmil District of Gaziantep Province. Content analysis was used to analyze the data. According to the results obtained in the research, it has been found that Syrian citizens have economic difficulties, have language problems, and as a result, they feel social and cultural loneliness, which are the sub-dimensions of loneliness. In addition, it was observed in the study that there were participants who experienced losses in their family and relatives and had intense feelings oflonging.
