Dragan Radovic

Montenegrin Journal of Economics, 2009, vol. 5, issue 9, 143-150

Abstract: The paper considers the economics risk which is compound, permanent and unavoidable phenomenon of economic and project management. The main task of management in general, and of project management, is translating uncertainty into the risk. In aim to fulfill this task, it is necessary to evaluate risk properly. Thus, we started in the paper from the following hypothesis: There are methods that on the premises of structural information give valid risk evaluation within the projects, on that the politics of risk management is based, as a phase of project management. Without the risk assessment, its quantification, identification, control, and managing, there is no possibility of contemporary successful maritime companies operating, which is based, among others, on the project management. The purpose of the research is presenting the relevant theoretical attitudes in the subject area, facing the newest theoretical approaches in resolving the subject theme and pointing out the increasing importance of risk analysis by common methods of economic science.
