The Impact of the Use of the Internet on the Social Relations of Students at the Faculty of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training in Kuwait

Abstract: The study aimed to investigate the impact of the use of the Internet on the social relations of university students in The Public authority for applied education and training in Kuwait, the researcher used the social survey method, and the identification and codification of the tools used from the study was prepared (Majali, 2007). The study sample consisted of (325) students, which were randomly selected. The results of the study showed that the impact of internet use on social relations increases when students use the Internet on their own, and the more hours of daily use. The results also showed that the most uses of the Internet are for scientific and research purposes, mostly on campus. The results also indicated that the effect of using the Internet on social relations and certain qualitative variables, such as gender, age and school level, had a relationship with student families. The study concluded with a set of recommendations.
