Determining the Applicability of DNA Evidence in Rape Trials in India

Abstract: The paper seeks to delve into the efficacy of DNA technology in securing justice in criminal trials pertaining to rape. An analysis of rape cases over the last decade has been done in order to assess the use of DNA in rape trials in India and the reliability placed on such evidence by the courts.
