Abstract:
The state exported $9.734 billion in goods, a one percent gain from the first quarter of 2022. That small gain placed it 42nd among all American states in its export growth. But if we subtract out $571 million of vaccine shipments (there were none this past quarter), remaining state exports rose a combined 7.4% percent. This is well in line with America's overall 6 percent export growth for the quarter. Automobiles and whiskey led the way, but palladium and platinum exports were down significantly.
