Come esportare tecnologia in Giappone: il caso Marposs

Abstract:
Marposs is, through its global network, a world leader in the field of precision measuring systems for mechanical components. The article deals with the historical development of Marposs presence in Japan. Starting in 1970 with an Italian expatriate manager assisted by a secretary-interpreter, Marposs has built, over the years, tight and solid relationships within the Japanese automotive industry as well as with all the major machine tool builders. In the article are also described the peculiarities of the business and the cultural differences that the company had to overcome to make its own image and credibility recognized by the Japanese market.
