Prezzo di accesso e competizione multimercato nelle "Network Industries"
Diego Lanzi
L'industria, 2002, issue 2, 215-230
Abstract:
In this essay a model of one-shot multimarket competition between conglomerate firms, competing into a network industry, is presented. Consequently a multimarket oligopoly, defined as a set of oligopolistic markets, is quickly characterised. One of these is a network market where a vertically integrated firm sells unit of access to a competitor. The existence of multimarket competition justifies relevant changes in the socially optimal access charge set by a fully informed regulator. Hence, a possible linkage between access pricing and a new paradigm of competition phases out.
