Abstract: After the economic disaster of Bush Administration, a new wave of economic debate is emerging on the relation between state and market economy. "l'industria" has pioneered this debate, both in the past, when we claimed for privatization and liberalisation and nowadays when we claim for a state authority able to guarantee market efficiency but also social equity.
