Augusto Ninni ()
L'industria, 2008, issue 4, 643-662
Abstract:
The paper analyzes the main features of the New European Industrial Policy. It seems that the major changes are: a) to orientate the bulk of the efforts to build up an attractive site for inflow of foreign investments and technology; b) to keep an horizontal approach to industrial policy, but with focus on pre-determined sectors through tailor-made measures; c) to search a major coordination of different EU policies, with particular emphasis on competition policy and environmental policy; d) however defence and development of competition remain the main economic policy axes, that is mandatory within a supranational institution.
