Renewable Policies in Italy between Market, Research and Industry

L'industria, 2011, issue 2, 283-308
Abstract:
The paper reviews renewable policies in Italy identifying main trends in resource allocation, technological paths and industrial trajectories. The approach of the study is rather different from main economic literature on renewables since incentive schemes, R&S and industrial policies are together taken into consideration to assess the overall Italian experience. At the light of the results so far achieved and the global competitive changes under way in the socalled green-tech sectors, possible industrial policies for the next future are suggested.
