The Ecclesiastical museums' experience in Italy

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to briefly illustrate the Ecclesiastical museums' experience in Italy. After having describe their aims, typologies and actual organization, ecclesiastical museums are analyzed from an economic point of view to highlight in particular financing and management issues. The specific role of diocesan museums is also explored.
