Il problema inevitabile. Una nota sui fondamenti microeconomici della macroeconomia

Corrado Benassi

Economia politica, 1999, issue 2, 137-154

Abstract: The traditional approach to the microfoundations problem is often criticized as contradicting the theorist's freedom to interpret reality with her own conceptual frame - indeed, pre-analytic vision as such has no bearing on analytic soundness, and at the same time each reasearch programme sets its own analytical standards. The paper's main contention is that criticism along these lines runs counter to the economists' actual research practice and the construction of economic science resulting therefrom.
