Abstract:
The article focuses on a historical and technical look on two decades of public policies in the field of cultural statistics. It draws a mixed picture on both sides of the Atlantic about contemporary and future issues. These stakes require a rapid and powerful impulse, homogeneous and centripetal, characteristics which seem to be missing in official cultural statistics.
