Abstract:
Remarkable changes has characterized our daily life in the last months due to the impact of the COVID-19, impressing also a highly pressure on the implementation of digital technologies. However, the monitoring of thecrisis has also claimed a considerable effort in the search and use of a generation of innovative, non-traditional data characterized by high frequency and high dimensionality. Cultural and creative sector are one of the most hit sectors from the crisis with most of the Heritage sites close for the pandemic. Starting from a recent experience provided by EUROSTAT, this work aims to explore the wikidata source to monitoring the impact of the crisis on two of the most important Heritage sites: Colosseum and Louvre. Results suggest some commonality for the technological device used for the search on the web together with different reactions to the crisis.
