Alessandro Leon

Economia della Cultura, 2021, issue 1, 29-45

Abstract: In the year 2017, the European Union approved the designation of 2018 as the «European Year of Cultural Heritage» with Decision 2017/864. This initiative represents a first effective experimentation in using the cultural heritage in various ways to promote the well-being of a local community health, civil rights, knowledge, education, awareness of oneself and one’s means, and so on. The article is aimed at investigating the ex-post impact perceived by those who played a role in the decision-making, planning and implementation phases of a European Union policy in Italy.
