Abstract: These pages contain a very synthetic review of developments in cultural economics over the last thirty years as mirrored in papers and contributions published in this volume of Economia della Cultura. Inter alia, it is high/ lighted how the demand for cultural economics changed over the years, involving a growing interest expressed by the professions in the cultural sector and not only by the economic profession.
