Abstract:
Museum programs for people with dementia in Tuscany have played a pioneering role in the direction of cultural welfare: started over 10 years ago in a single and experimental way, they have seen the creation of a formalized system, the MTA Musei Toscani per l’Alzheimer, which over time has built a proposal widely disseminated throughout the territory, an important alliance with the social and health sector, international collaborations and exchanges and an intense activity, even and above all in times of pandemic. By tracing a methodology that can be replicated on other fragile audiences, as demonstrated by the new projects recently launched in the region, aimed at the elderly, in particular with Parkinson’s, and neurodiverse people.
