Local autonomies and cultural institutions: good practices for transparency

Abstract: Municipalities are responsible for the majority of local cultural institutions and several different governance models of the cultural assets of the Country have been adopted in the past. This contribution aims to first provide an, as unbiased as possible, overview of such models, to then focus on those that have been inspired mostly by the principles of transparency and participation.
