Giuseppe Cosenza

Economia della Cultura, 2024, issue 1, 157-164

Abstract: In 2024 the Italian Ministry of Culture profoundly changes its organization. New governance structures and new museums are introduced. This paper examines the strengths and weaknesses of the reform that reintroduce the structure of the Minister Rocco Buttiglione times (2005/ 2006) forsaken within a year because not functional to a reality widely distributed on the territory with its Monuments and Fine Arts Offices, autonomous Institutes and Museums: the real attractors and activators of public, cultural capitals, economic and social innovation. It is also quoted the critical advice (n. 00132-2024) the Council of State gave of the preliminary reports of this change in February 2024.
