Placing culture at the heart of a sustainable future

Erminia Sciacchitano

Economia della Cultura, 2024, issue 2-3, 285-292

Abstract: The introduction outlines the path that is leading in a few years to progress towards better recognition of the role of culture in the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda) and in global Climate policy (COP - UNFCCC) as well as to the first reflection on key principles and possible actions for a more transparent and effective framework for AI global governance for culture. This happened thanks to improved coordination in strategic multilateral fora, including MONDIACULT, the G20 Culture Ministerial and G7 Culture Ministerial and stakeholder platforms such as the #culture2030goal campaign and the Climate Heritage Network.
