Abstract:
Established in 2018, the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali (Foundation School for Cultural Heritage and Activities) has rapidly built a recognizable identity and a solid position within the complex system of cultural heritage, serving professionals and organizations. Centered around its research, training, and experimentation programs, which also have an international scope, a large and profiled community has grown, while the vast network of institutional relations established with the world of cultural heritage in Italy and abroad is progressively consolidating. Its mission invests, with a structured and innovative approach, in all aspects of the care and management of cultural heritage, addressing the growing expectations and new challenges of the contemporary world. The text offers a brief and concise assessment of the first seven years of activity, with a focus on the strategic challenge entrusted to the Scuola by the Italian Ministry of Culture with the Culture-dedicated National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR Cultura 4.0) and the National Plan for the Digitalization of Cultural Heritage: the training of skills for the digital transformation of cultural heritage.
