Economia della Cultura, 2024, issue 2-3, 492-494
Abstract:
The research analyzes the regeneration of urban spaces by highlighting the contribution of sound technologies in the transformation processes of the Former Slaughterhouse in Testaccio (RM). The medium of sound is understood as the tool that combines digital experimentation with forms of cultural regeneration related to processes of memory and identity. Therefore, the main purpose will be to build an archive of sounds that includes recordings of soundscapes and a collection of oral testimonies. The creation of the archive aims to initiate a new process of regeneration through participatory strategies, then envisaging its return in the form of an installation.
