Abstract:
The article explores the evolution and current state of film and audiovisual education in Italian schools, emphasizing the importance of fostering critical media literacy among students. Through a historical and policy-based analysis, the study highlights how the National Plan "Cinema e Immagini per la Scuola" (CIPS) represents a turning point in integrating audiovisual language into curricula.
