Le regole europee per l'intervento pubblico
Paola M. Manacorda
Economia della Cultura, 2005, issue 3, 335-346
Abstract:
A former member of Italian Communications Authority, the author describes the issues discussed between the Italian public service broadcaster, the RAI, the Ministry of Communications and the Authority about the implementation of the European rule of a «separate accounting» for the commercial, on one hand, and the public service activities, on the other. The risk that, because of that, obstacles would be placed in the way of a better definition of social, cultural and economic goals of public funding in broadcasting, is brought to the reader's attention.
