Abstract:
The strategical laying out of Community Support Framework for 2000-2006 has been long discussed, and with it the choice to assign for the first time to cultural policy an independent space in development policies , by identifying an entire programming Line: the «Asse 2», dedicated to Cultural Resources, «to favour new entrepreneurial opportunities in the field of culture and cultural activities». The challenge proposed by Asse 2 is to extend and to integrate actions directly connected to cultural heritage restoration to actions connected to its evaluation. In this framework, technical assistance and systemic actions provided through a dedicated National Programme were finalized to improve planning skills of public administration in the field of cultural heritage and to improve State-Regions relationships. The central elements of Technical Assistance activities were «Regional Integrated planning», and «Management», with innovative forms of public private partnership, and the elaboration of Guide Lines for innovative management and «best practices» in the cultural field.
