The case of Paris Opera

Abstract:
The author examines the case study of the Paris Opera. The article is divided into two parts. The first is devoted to analyze management models applicable to Opera Houses in general, examining three alternative models: the traditional (a public body institution), the company, and the no profit organization (foundation). In the comparison between the three models, the no profit solution is generally favored. The second part is devoted to analyzes the case study of the Paris Opera, with an appropriate set of qualitative and quantitative information, highlighting features, latest results and suggestions for further improvements.
