Mostar Story. Results and challenges of post-war recovery

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to give a basic information about the historicalvalues of Mostar, its fatal destruction during the atrocities of 1992-1995 waragainst Bosnia and Herzegovina and finally about the Mostar project implementedbetween 1998 and 2004.The role of International Organizations as AKTC, WMF, World Bank,IRCICA, has proved of particular importance for the success of the Project.This article ends with a critical evaluation of the Project itself as anexamination of future development challenges and continuation of post-warrecovery of the community leading to a sustainable peace and reconciliation.
