Contemporary art museum and cultural mediation

Abstract: The article examines the role and importance of mediation activities with the audiences of the museums of contemporary art. The Italian experience face a growing interest and a wide variety of projects and proposals as well as considerable difficulties in identifying innovative ways of management of the museums' educational departments in accordance with the objectives and cultural policies of the institutions.
