L'Editrice Einaudi: dalle riunioni del mercoledì all'immagine comunicata
Frida Sciolla
Economia della Cultura, 2002, issue 3, 407-416
Abstract:
This article is about publication criteria, the rules that govern the entire production process and act as guidelines for publishers. While the fundamental values of a publishing house's corporate culture are stable on the whole, most criteria are continuously redefined, according to the evolution of the social context and the organisational routines inside the corporation. By reconstructing the foundation and the evolution of editorial meetings at the Italian publisher Einaudi, the author wishes to discover how the «mythical Wednesday meetings» are the main occasion for negotiating the publication criteria.
