Abstract:
In the region of le Marche the recovery of the cultural heritage damaged in 1997 earthquake is a successful story. This paper recalls the main choices and factors of that success: a clear coordination between State and Regional bodies, an action based on operating plans, new operating tools. The projects approved by the «Conferenze di servizi» where all the subjects involved were present; working groups of various skills evaluating in advance the interventions; a «Comitato Tecnico Scientifico» as a sole subject of technical evaluation of tools and projects; the training of public and private operators involved; the 'standardization' of projects through a specific covering letter, and the computerization of the introduction and approval procedures assuring clearness. The prosecution of these working lines and the current access to those records are now problematic.
