Abstract: The General Secretary of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and of Tourism (MiBACT) stresses the International Conference aims at promoting the focal themes of cultural diversity and cultural heritage related to sustainable development in the area of the Mediterranean. In line with the ONU Resolution and UNESCO global campaign «Unit4Heritage», launched in response of the cultural heritage attacks, the Italian ministerial position supports several cultural programmes and projects, within the Mediterranean shores and in South-Eastern Europe, finalized at the strengthening of international cooperation, experts mobility and peace keeping. Not last, Italy has promoted the strategic action, named «Emergency Task Force for Culture» available for deployment to safeguard cultural heritage affected by crises and to reinforce the UNESCO strategy to promote the human rights and security.
