The MAXXI and the public-private relation
Pietro Barrera
Economia della Cultura, 2017, issue 3, 407-412
Abstract:
The author examines the history from birth to the present day of the MAXXI Museum as a tangible example of the tension between the cultural mission and the entrepreneurial management. The Foundation, a nonprofit organization, constitutes a different implementation of the general principle promoted by Minister Franceschini that cultural enjoyment is a constitutionally protected right, and part of that «essential level of benefits concerning civil and social rights» that must be guaranteed to all and everywhere.
