Abstract:
In the cultural context within the exchange of views between Italian archival system and the fashion industry, a growing interest in the concept of Brand Heritage has been recently registered. A number of Italian fashion companies revealed a long term outlook, starting to recover their history through specific cultural investments which, in the most important cases, have been resulted in the establishment of company collections or well organized product archives. Fashion Research Italy Foundation's example stands out in the Emilia-Romagna area background; firmly wanted by Alberto Masotti - former CEO of La Perla fashion group - to support small and medium sizes companies, thanks to important educational paths, related to a specific sensibilization program on archival themes, and bespoke consultancy solutions.
