Urban Regeneration: a new way of thinking about the city

Abstract:
Urban Regeneration in Italy is still an open question as there is no precise definition of the term and its field of application in Urban Planning and City Government. For this reason it is necessary to refine the theories, methods and techniques concerning urban regeneration and sustainability. From the study of some of the most significant European experiences, such as Bilbao and the Ruhr, results of great interest derived for a new way of thinking about the city.
