Sustainable Banks?
Francesco Vella
Banca Impresa Società, 2024, issue 1, 5-28
Abstract:
Banks play a key role in financing the transition to a green economy. The new sustainability framework encompasses all different aspects of banking. From governance structures and reporting to the measurement of climate and environmental risks and the definition of special clauses in corporate financing contracts (green loans and sustainability linked loans). It is a complex discipline that needs to be harmonized and simplified by applying proportionality criteria.
